A transitionary industry in Central-Southern Italy, contemporary to the Chatelperronian Industry in France. This industry contains objects such as shell beads that may signify symbolic or advanced behavior in early humans, possibly as a result of early modern human contact.

Neanderthals 'Overlapped' with Modern Humans for up to 5,400 years (2014)[]

Study produces maps of when Neanderthals died out in various places in Europe and when modern humans arrived.
Study indicates Mousterian Industry died out between 41,030 and 39,260 YA.
