Groombridge 34 is also known as Gliese 15 and HD 1326. It is a double red dwarf star. Both are flare stars, with A being dubbed GX Andromedae and B GQ Andromedae. The stars are 147 AU apart in nearly circular orbits. Ross 248 is only 1.8 light years away. Currently the closest known multi-exoplanetary system.
